Pronunciation for Microsoft 365
Ontario Tech Staff and Faculty will now be able to setup pronunciation for their names to appear in your profile cards. A small speaker icon will appear next to your name that users can click on to hear the pronunciation of your name.

How can I add my name pronunciation?
Step 1: Log into email.ontariotechu.ca with your Banner ID and network password.
Step 2: Open your sent items folder and open the email sent by your account.
Step3: Select your name at the top of the message to view your profile card.
Step 4: On your profile card, select the microphone icon located next to your name. You may get prompted to allow outlook.office.com to access your microphone. If so, select Allow.
Step 3: In the dialogue window, select the microphone button to record an audio clip. The maximum length is 10 seconds.
Step 4: Select the icon again to stop the recording.
Step 5: You can choose to save, preview, or retake the recording.
Step 6: Once you save, your profile card is updated immediately.

How can I change or delete my name pronunciation?
Step 1: Open your profile card in Outlook on the web by clicking on your profile.
Step 2: On your profile card, select the speaker icon located next to your name.
Step 3: To delete, select the trash icon to delete the recording.
Step 4: Select Yes, delete to confirm. The recording is deleted, and your profile card will no longer have a recording of your name pronunciation.
Step 5: To record a new audio clip, select the microphone icon.
