New students and re-admits in BYOD TELE are required to download and install course-specific software prior to the start of classes. This process is completed by the student at their own time once they are registered in courses.

What do I do if I don't have a laptop?
Option 1: Purchase a device through a vendor of your choice, be sure to review laptop standards within your faculty section.
Option 2: Purchase a suggested device selected by IT Services.

Use the Hardware Verification tool in your faculty section to check if it meets the recommended minimum specifications.

How do I log in to OntarioTechU.Net?
- Newly admitted students must change the default network password prior to accessing the Ontario Tech network, Canvas, and OntarioTechU.Net email accounts. The default password can be found under Current students - Default network password section on the MyOntarioTechu website.
- Once you have changed your default network password, follow the OntarioTechU.Net login procedure instructions to access your account.
