Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Downloading software from the Software Portal

The Ontario Tech Software Portal is a software deployment system for students, faculty, and staff to easily install software on their personal laptop or employees to install software on their university provided laptop. Please follow the instructions below on how to use the Ontario Tech Software Portal:

Step 1:   Open a web browser and navigate to https://software.ontariotechu.ca. Select the red Software Portal Login button.

 Step 2:  Enter your student/Banner number and network password and select Sign in.

Step 3:   You will now be presented with your required course-specific software a list of software that has been approved for use on your laptop. Select the software you wish to install.

Step 4:   A list of available versions of the software will now be presented. Under the version of the software that corresponds to your Operating System:

  1.  If a Generate License Key button is available, select it to get a license key for the product. Make note of this key for use during     the software install.
  2.  Select the Download button to download the software.
  3.  Select the View Install Instructions button to open the install instructions in a new tab.
  4.  Install the software by following the provided install instructions.

Note that some software may be web-based, or have other restrictions in place. Please follow any available instructions on how to gain access to the software.
