Student laptop eligibility and refresh

Please review the eligibility and refresh requirements for students participating in the Laptop TELE model:

STUDENTS (LAPTOP TELE MODEL only)

  • Students entering first year
    • Full-time students entering their first year will receive a new laptop, backpack, network cable and adapter prior to starting school.
    • Registration for laptop sessions will be available through MyCampus after course registration has started.
  • Students entering second year
    • Full-time students returning for their second year will keep their laptop throughout the summer break.
    • Prior to their return to classes, students are required to have their laptop refreshed with the software necessary for second year.
    • Registration for laptop sessions will be available through MyCampus after course registration has started.
  • Students entering third year
    • Full-time students returning for their third year will keep their laptop throughout the summer break.
    • Students are required to return their existing hardware and adapter in August and will receive a new laptop (and adapter) loaded with the software necessary for their third year.
    • Registration for laptop sessions will be available through MyCampus after course registration has started.
  • Students entering fourth year
    • Full-time students returning for their fourth year will keep their laptop throughout the summer break.
    • Prior to their return to classes, students are required to have their laptop refreshed with the software necessary for fourth year.
    • Registration for laptop sessions will be available through MyCampus after course registration has started.
  • PART-TIME STUDENTS
    Part-time students (course load of less than 60 per cent) must return their laptop at the end of each semester.
